Year 1 and 2 class trip to Conisborough Castle
The children in Year 1 and 2 visited Conisborough Castle to support their ‘once upon a time’ and ‘Long, Long ago’ topics. The children had an excellent day participating in lots of activities around the Castle. During our Tales from the Keep talk the children went into the castle alongside the experts to locate different rooms and to think about who would have worked and lived there. During the Meet the Medieval’s talk the children used a timeline to go back 850 years. The children were able to dress up in costumes that would have been worn 850 years ago by the many people who lived and worked there. The children had a fantastic day and learnt lots of new and exciting historical facts.
