Key Stage Two Curriculum
Our curriculum sessions tend to be taught in the afternoon. We follow a creative curriculum approach to the teaching of the wider curriculum. This means we aim to develop children's understanding of the wider curriculum through skills based teaching which can sometimes be discrete and other times, will be linked to Literacy, Maths or Science.
If we can utilise a text, we will do in order to totally encapsulate children in their learning at all aspects of the day. We will also endeavour to provide real-life experiences which enhance the teaching and learning involved in the current topic. Information can be seen below in regards to coverage.
We use an online tracking tool (Insight Online Tracking) to assess against National Curriculum outcomes in all foundation subjects. If you would like more information, please speak to a member of staff in your child's key stage.
As a school, we follow the National Curriculum from 2014. Please follow this link to read the National Curriculum: https://www.gov.uk/education/primary-curriculum-key-stage-2
