We have held 2 Online Safety Workshops with Leeder Safeguarding this year, one in the Autumn Term and another which included all Y5/6 in Spring term. More workshops will be available in the summer and next academic year.

We held a parent workshop in Autumn 2024 and this was also held for UKS2 pupils afterwards. Pupils learnt about a wide range of ways to stay safe online and what to do if ever they felt unsafe.

South Yorkshire Police led a further online safety session with Y5/6 in Spring term.

Internet Legends

In Autumn term, KS2 had the pleasure of being a part of an Internet Legends Assembly. This was an engaging and interactive session designed to teach our students the fundamentals of online safety in a fun and memorable way. During the assembly, our students had discussions about how we could stay safe online and what information is suitable to share online. It introduced key concepts such as being sharp about sharing information, alert to scams and strangers, secure with passwords, kind to others online, and brave in seeking help when needed. This informative assembly allowed our students to understand how to use the digital world confidently and responsibly.
